Get fit series: 30 day Pushup Challenge!

Friday, May 30, 2014
On May 1st I started a 30 day Squat challenge. Today is my last day of the squat challenge. I am proud to say that I have finished. Two days ago I wrote this post and saved it in my drafts, but I added this sentence just now. This challenge worked really well for me and it is very effective. I see a difference in myself! Here is the link if you want to check it out! 30 day squat challenge If you want to, you can even do this challenge and just let me know how it went for you!

I have found a new challenge once again on Pinterest, called "30 Day Push Up Challenge". So on June 1st, I will start this new challenge and I am excited about it! I was going to do the beginners push up challenge, but then I changed my mind. I decided that if I am going to challenge myself, I need to go the extra mile and do the more difficult push up challenge. Because I am not a pro at the "Normal" push ups, I am doing the modified ones also known as the "girly push ups". To be honest I do not see anything wrong with doing the girl version of push ups, I think it's just as effective. So I will be starting this challenge on the 1st of June. If you want to, you can start this challenge with me! Just let me know.

Blogging schedule?

Thursday, May 29, 2014
I do not have a blogging schedule. I know that's bad, but I am not super organized in that department yet. So basically right now, it's all about what works for me, One of my goals were to put up a post everyday. That way I can start being more organized, and eventually set up a schedule that works for me. I am not good with keeping up. Let's just say I am way behind. I have failed, but posting everyday is hard.

I should not have made that kind of goal for myself, it would have been easier to start off with a smaller goal. For example, my goal should have been to post more than I did the previous month. Like I wrote in the beginning, it's all about what works for me, so I post on whatever day is available to me. The reason why I do not have a schedule is because, I have other things going on and making an exact schedule would not work out for me. I guess I could write posts and schedule them for a specific day. I have no idea what I should do.

A blog schedule works for a lot of people and that is great. I hope that it will work for me one day, but I do not think that day will be anytime soon. Unfortunately it's not working out, but I guess everyone is different. What may work for someone, may not work the same for you. I have come to realize that it takes time. Like this post I am not so organized at the moment. But I am only being honest about this.

Any advice for me? Do you have a blogging schedule?

BH Cosmetics Haul!

Sunday, May 18, 2014
I am a little new to online shopping and I have to say, that it's kind of fun! A few weeks ago I brought these single eye shadows and smudge brush. I never brought anything from BH cosmetics before, so I was excited to try their products out! I only brought a few things, for my first time shopping from here. This has nothing to do with my mini haul, but I just brought a new camera and I took these pictures with it. I wanted to see how it worked. It's bad for my first time trying it out! I need a little more practice though!

When choosing these colors, I thought about the summertime. Although three of the colors work well with the evening time or like a night out to a party. All of the single colors were only, $0.98! That is a good deal, because I am picking the colors I want.
  • Warm Shimmer 6 (Pink/Peach)
I do not know the exact the color, so I took a just on guessing. It looks like a pinkish/peach color and it's very shimmery. It will look gorgeous on the eye for summertime, with the light hitting the shimmer.
  • Metallic Matte 4 (Green)
I really like this kind of green, it's really pretty and it would go great with any of the other color for a springtime look!
  • Metallic Matte 8 (Brown)

  • Metallic Matte 19 (Blue/Purple)
I thought this was a really pretty color and I thought it would be great for a smoky eye look!
  • Classic Smudge Brush
The bristles on this smudge brush feels really soft. It does not feel like it would hurt you or stick you in the eye. When I hold it, it has a good grip. It was $3.19. That's not to bad, so I can't wait to try it!

Part 2: Advice For High school kids

Saturday, May 17, 2014
In my previous post Part 1: My High School Experience I wrote about my experience in high school and I decided to make a part two. This post is really just about my advice for kids entering high school or already in. I know everyone will have different experiences, but I feel like maybe this will help someone.

* Friends are not everything, if they're not your true friends.
  • You want friends that are honest and trustworthy.
  • You do not need a lot of friends.
  • Not everyone is your real friend.
  • Remember it's better to have a few friends you can trust, rather than having a lot of friends and not being able to trust them.

*Peer pressure is toxic.
  • If they are not your real friends, they will not force you to do something you don't want to do.
  • Do not fall under peer pressure, just to fit in.
  • People are testing you when you're being pressured, remember that. If you say no to something you passed the test for yourself.

*Be yourself.
  • You do not have to pretend to be someone else just to fit in.
  • If people can't accept you for who you are, then at least you're being true to yourself.
  • Being yourself makes you unique and special.
Hope this helped!

Part 1: My High School Experience

Friday, May 16, 2014

I did not like high school. I could not take it anymore and I was counting the days till I graduated. But now I miss high school, only because I really didn't have to worry about anything. But then I remembered why I didn't like high school to begin with. The mean girls, guys who acted like jerks, and I how felt began to show on my face. A lot people have great memories of their high school years, but me that's a different story. I have good memories, not a lot only a few. I felt like I didn't belong. I dreaded going to school and I wanted to be someone else. I blamed TV for my high expectations of high school.
It seemed glamorized on television and I could not wait to be in high school. But then I quickly realized that my high school experience was not going to be all about: sunshine, flowers, and unicorns. I had some friends who I talked to throughout my fours and some of them I knew since elementary, but for some reason I still felt alone. I did not go through peer pressure and did not care to be popular. I was the kind of person who talked to everyone and wanted to have a peaceful day in school. I am not bashing high school, because I did have good memories; not as much as I would've like to have but at least I have some right? I do miss the people I was cool with in school though. I could talk about high school some more, but that's just a snippet of my experience.

What was your experience like or what are you dealing with now?

E.l.f. Eye Brushes

Wednesday, May 7, 2014

Although this haul is very small, I just wanted to share with you what I brought. I decided to buy brushes, because I needed them more! The first brushes I were eco-friendly and were really good, but their were more face brushes, then eye brushes. So that wasn't really helpful to me. It was only one eye shadow brush. I rarely shop online, I always go to the store. But I was bored one day and I guess this is what happened! I am really excited to try these brushes! I also brought some things from BH cosmetics, but that's for another post!

Eye Shadow Brush
The eye shadow brush is supposed to help apply the eye shadow evenly and make it easier. This sounds good, because the brushes I used in the past were tough and hard. It seemed like I had to put a lot of eye shadow on, before it actually showed up on my eyes.

Blending Eye Brush
This brush is supposed to blend the eye shadows, while softening dramatic edges and lines. This is really good, because before I had to use the same eye shadow brush to blend. That was a wreck, because the bristles were hard and that irritated my eyelids. This brush is good for setting powder and liquid concealer!

Eye Crease Brush
The eye crease brush is able to pick up a lot of eye shadow color. It also sweeps it onto the lid to crease bold definition. It also says that it blends and contours in the crease and corners of the eye.  This brush is also great for smudging the shadow into the lash line for a smoky effect. This sounds really great, especially if I want a smoky eye look!

These brushes only cost $1, but they still look like good quality brushes. The brush itself (the bristles) feel really soft and the handle or the part you hold has a good grip. I definitely think these brushes are going to be my favorite ones so far. In another post I will let you all know how they work!

Ideas for Mother's Day gifts

Friday, May 2, 2014
This is a short post about Mother's day gifts. As you get older it gets hard to fine something for Mom. Usually in elementary school you would make gifts for Mom in the classroom. Giving gifts is all about the thought that counts. You do not have to spend loads of money on gifts. Some of the most simple gifts, are the ones that are more special. At least that's what I've heard. This is only my opinion. I will put two separate lists down below!

Here are a few gift ideas for kids!
*Breakfast in bed
*A Mother's Day card
*Make dinner
*Make a video
*Make a scrapbook

Here are a few gift ideas for Adult kids!
*Jewelry -One year my sister and I brought our Mom a necklace,
that had the word Mom in the middle of it.
*A purse your Mom might've been eyeing in the store or online.

I hope this gives you some good ideas!

Blogging goals for May!

Thursday, May 1, 2014
Make more blogging friends
*All of the blogging friends I have made are really nice. They all have wonderful blogs. It's nice to see everyone is different about the way they blog. You can really see their personalities shine through their blogging style, it's awesome! Hopefully I make more blogger friends!
Put up posts everyday
*Since blogging I have never put up a post everyday. It's really hard to put up posts, everyday. At least it's hard for me. I want everything I write to make sense to me, before I publish it. Does that make any sense?
Be more organized
*I will admit that I am very unorganized, please do not judge me! But I have realized that it's not working for me anymore. So I have started writing post ideas to help me be more organized. Not being organized has caused me to have writers block. I have been in a rut because of it. Everything I have tried to write did not make any sense to me, so I would delete the post instead of publishing it.

Be more creative
*I can be more creative, but not being organized has made it seem otherwise. Whenever I put up a post I try to be different. Actually I am different, I try to have my own style. I do want people to read
my posts and say they've seen this kind of posts before.

Write what I am feeling
*Writing a post about how I feel, may be a good post. Someone may be feeling the same way as me and besides blogging is like an open diary.

Do you have any blogging goals?
