8 Hair Tips To Follow

Saturday, November 12, 2016
I have a love/hate relationship with my hair. Sometimes it won't cooperate with me and I'm so over it, after a well. But I'm starting to realize what my hair wants and does not want, or what it needs. So I decided to share these tips with you and hopefully they will help you! Even thought I have curly hair, these tips just doesn't apply to only "curly haired girls". It applies to straight hair or wavy, thin or thick hair, and fine or coarse hair.
Stop using heat
Heat is one of the top reasons for unhealthy hair. From experience it fries the ends of your end and it becomes brittle. If you don't want to stop using heat, at least decrease the amount you put on your hair. Also I would recommend using a heat protectant spray, I know a lot of people don't bother using it but it's really important.
Stop using Sulfate hair products
Sulfate products are damaging to your hair. For example, it strips away the natural oils from the hair. Besides sulfate is used in laundry detergent, so it doesn't belong on your hair. In my opinion my hair feels like crap when I used sulfate products in the past. I honestly didn't know the damage I was doing to my hair. My hair would not Detangle easy and it would feel sticky and dry.
Drink more water
Water is important for so many reasons and one of them is for healthy hair. Drinking water helps your hair become hydrated and shiny. Also when washing your hair make sure the water isn't too hot or too cold. Hot water can cause split ends and although cold water seals in the water it may not work for everyone.
Detangle your hair before washing because, it causes less fall out when you comb your hair in the shower. Another important tip about detangling is using a wide tooth comb. This causes less stress to the hair, therefore your hair won't break or come out. The last tip is to start from ends to detangle. Combing from the roots will damage your hair and that's not good. Your roots are the newest part of your hair so take care of it.
Deep conditioning is your friend
Deep condition your hair for moisture and to treat hair that may be damaged. You will see improvement if you're consistent with use.
Use a Satin pillow or headscarf
It doesn't matter which one you use as long as you fit one into your night routine. Satin is soft and it won't pull or break off your hair.
Oil the ends of your hair
Oiling the ends is vital and this tip must not be forgotten. The ends are the oldest part of your hair and if not cared for properly, it could cause the new hair to break. If these two parts of the hair meets that can cause split ends as well.
Keep your hair moisturized
Keeping your hair moisturized is extremely important. Just like we need water for the outside and inside of the body, your hair is the same way with moisture. If you don't use this tip your hair will be very sad! It will become dry and brittle and who wants that.
I hope you enjoyed reading and if you use these tips let me know!
