November Wrap Up

Wednesday, November 30, 2016
This month went by really fast and everything hit me all at once. I can't believe December is tomorrow already. I've learned a lot this past month and I think I've matured as a blogger. Due to the lack of motivation and inspiration, I didn't feel worthy to be a blogger. I also never posted on my blog consistently. So during the month of November I made a promise to myself, that I would blog everyday. I actually laughed at myself because I didn't think I could do it. I had self doubt, which is never good. But I'm pleased to say that I DID IT! I have blogged everyday and it felt really good.
There were times when I wanted to throw in the towel, because my computer was acting slow or I just didn't feel like it. I challenged myself to accomplish this and I thought I was setting myself up for failure. I'm glad I didn't give up and although it's nothing big to all of you, it's so important to me. I give props to the bloggers who do this because it's really hard work and dedication. I actually enjoyed this and it helped me realize my creativity!
I've neglected my blog for months, occasionally posting here and there. It took a lot of time for me to realize where I wanted my blog to go. I finally figured it out and even though there's a lot of bloggers in the blogging community, I think I found a small space for me in there somewhere! On another note my birthday is next month and I'm really excited. But I'll tell you more in tomorrow's post! I don't know how many times I'm going to say this, but I'm so glad that I'm a blogger. Not really so much because of the blogging aspect of it, but it's because of all the people I get to chat with. So yeah, that's my boring wrap up of November. But I did accomplish more than you'll ever know!
Did you have any goals you wanted to accomplish for this month?

BH Cosmetics Eye Essential 7 Piece Brush Set

Bh Cosmetics hit a home run for me! I don't really use makeup other than eye shadows, eyelid primer, eyeliner, and lip products. That's it and I'm cool with that. Sometimes I'm curious to try the face makeup, but it's really not my thing. So every time I go on a makeup website, I can't seem to find a brush set consisting only brushes for the eye. I could be wrong and maybe I was looking in the wrong place. But it wasn't until recently I saw Bh Cosmetics have the eye essential 7 piece brush set I jumped off the wall! This made me happy. But you know what made me excited? The fact that I brought them for only $6! They were on the site for $8, but with the discount code I received $2 off. Shipping was $3.95, so in total I spent $9.95 that was really good. That's one of the reasons I love BH Cosmetics because their very affordable compared to other brands.

Included in this set is a; Blending Brush, Large Shader Brush, Small Shader Brush, Angled Blending Brush, Pencil Brush, Fine Liner Brush, and Small Angled Brush. These are natural- hair and synthetic brushes. The bristles are very soft and are not rough on my eyelids, which is a plus! I have only used the first 4 brushes and I really like them. Both blending brushes smooth out the eye shadow and there's no harsh lines. Both shader brushes pack on pigment very good, but in my opinion I like to use the large brush for my entire lid. However if I want a certain amount of eye shadow to cover a small portion of the lid, I will go for the small brush. I will definitely update you, when I have tried the rest of the brushes. But so far from the ones I have tried, they are easy to hold and I get a good grip on them. Most importantly these are lightweight and I can easily carry them around in my bag. Another important fact is that these brushes are good quality and affordable at the same time. This is an important factor, because there are times where people think that affordable means cheap quality. That's not the case with these so I just wanted to put that out there.

If you have read my previous post, I actually did lip swatches. I didn't think I would ever do that, but one blogger really made me think about it. Not in a bad way either and besides I actually fun with it! I'm starting to get a little carried away. I'm bringing it back to BH Cosmetics! I'm going to be creating makeup looks for my blog, not full face because I don't wear foundation or anything like that. But I will definitely do eye makeup looks! I'm not a professional but it's really all about me coming out of my shell. I don't how many videos I've watched to help me properly put on eye shadow, but we'll see!

If you want to check out these brushes click the link below and I also think the price is $7.50 now!

10 Things You Don't Know About Me!

Tuesday, November 29, 2016

I'm not the most interesting person and I'm quite boring too! But there are some pretty cool things you don't know about me. I always enjoy reading post like these, because you get to know more about the person behind the blog.

I'm a Sagittarius
I was born in December, I wanted to clarify that first because I know people who were born the last few days of November are Sagittarius too. I'm a fire sign and that pretty much sums it up. Although I do fit the description of one, not all of the information applies to me. Some of it is just way off. As you can tell I read horoscopes. My symbol is the bow and arrow and I think that's pretty cool. If I were to ever get a tattoo it would be that.

I was named after a Soap Opera Character
I think this one tops it all for me! This is pretty cool being named after a character. Growing up my mom and I would watch soap operas so it's something special for me. Now that my sister is older, we all watch them together! So anyway the soap character I was named after is Ashley from the "Young & Restless".

I'm a sports fan
I am a fan of basketball ever since I was a kid. But I guess that runs in my family. My favorite team is Oklahoma City Thunder, just in case you're wondering. Football is ok, although there was a time when I watched it faithfully. Now it really doesn't interest me anymore except for the Super Bowl. That's a tradition for me! (WWE) Wrestling has become a sport I like to watch, however it can't compare to basketball because that will always be my number one! I remember watching wrestling when I was younger, but I really started getting into it a few years ago. I don't like any other sports and I enjoy watching the Olympics every four years.

I have 5 ear piercings
I have 4 piercings on my earlobes (2 on each side). I also have my cartilage pierced. I do want one or two more maybe for my birthday!

I have a widow's peak
This one is another cool fact that I think is interesting about myself. I don't have a straight line. So parting my hair in the middle is very challenging, because I'm not sure where exactly the middle is! But I wouldn't change it for the world.

I'm obsessed with the 90's
It's no secret that I'm a 90's kid, I mean I talk about it frequently. Although I love listening to music from other decades and even today's, music in this decade was the best. But not just music, it goes from TV shows to movies. I could go on for days, but I won't bore you.

I love to draw/sketch
I've been doing this since I was 9 years old. I love drawing flowers and I have a passion for sketching wedding dresses. In the future I would love to own a bridal store/company and become a wedding planner.

I often quote lines from TV shows & movies
I do this on a daily basis. It just happens and it's who I am. I also memorize commercials too and the fact that I'm sharing this with you, makes us closer!

I don't like certain foods touching
Call me weird but certain foods cannot be near one another. For example, I don't like for my greens to touch the potato salad. I like the plates that have different sections to separate the foods. Am I the only one like this?

I have a sock collection
I'm obsessed with socks and this probably sounds weird to you already. I solid color socks, multi colors socks you name it. I should dedicate a post to my sock collection. That would be hilarious.

I don't like the sound of Styrofoam
Anything with Styrofoam in it count me out. The other thing I can deal with is the Styrofoam cups, other than that I cringe at the sound. So when it comes to plates you can pretty much guess where I won't be eating from!

I hope you enjoyed reading and now you know me a little better!

Anxiety Is Not Exaggerated

Monday, November 28, 2016

I really don't know how to start this off, but I guess the title is self explanatory. Anyone with anxiety knows the struggle, whether you deal with it daily or sometimes. I'm not an expert so this isn't an advice post. Everyone has different experiences with how they deal with anxiety but this is something we all have in common. Anxiety can be caused by a number of things, one of them being stress. Although there are tips to manage stress unfortunately it will always be there. Sometimes I feel like my mind is always going a hundred miles per hour. I am always overthinking about the craziest things. But I can't help it and sometimes I just cry about. People who don't understand think it's all made up but it's reality. Well at least the rest of us. If I don't make sense, I apologize in advance. I use to handle pressure pretty well. It's like I thrived from it and my adrenaline fed off of it. For example, I'm a procrastinator. Although not nearly as much when I was younger.

Sometimes I find myself doing this whether it's with blogging or other things. Then I realize how much it annoys me and I can't take it. I know from experience when I have anxiety building or I start to get anxious, my chest starts hurting. That feeling is the worst and sometimes taking deep breaths does not help. Just by being on social media, I've noticed a lot of people mocking others for having anxiety. I don't understand why there are rude people like this. Something like this cannot be made up unless you're doing it as a sick joke. One thing people need to understand is that you don't just wake up one day and say I'm going to have anxiety just for hell of it. No it doesn't work like this, while most try to manage others may not be able to control it. This isn't exaggerated and it should be taken seriously.

If you are someone that doesn't have anxiety, put yourself in the shoes of someone who does. It's not a good feeling and it affects people everyday. Sometimes my anxiety is caused by my OCD, that is another topic for another day. But I'll give an example of what happens. I wash my hands a lot and I don't even have to touch anything to get that feeling. Also when I finish washing my hands I constantly check to make sure the water is turned off. I check to make sure all of the faucets are turned off, because I don't want anything to overflow. I hope I'm making sense to you. This really bothers me and I'm trying to work on it, but just like I check the faucets I check the doors to make sure it's locked. This causes my anxiety to go up and I become frustrated with myself. All of this is a result of stress for me, but there isn't a time when I'm stressed. Another reason for anxiety can be from a loss or a traumatic experience, it's not just one reason.

You never really know what someone is going through or the battles they are fighting on a daily basis. All of these things are not made up. Anxiety isn't something that can be turned on and off like a light switch, it doesn't work like that. If you're someone who thinks it does, well I'm sorry but you're wrong. This post isn't bashing people who do not understand and if you feel this way, it's not my intention. I'm simply saying instead of making jokes or brushing someone's anxiety off, be there for them. If you do not know them, pray or hope they get better. Most importantly, if you're the person dealing with anxiety find people who are supportive towards. Find people are positive and try to encourage you. Know that you are strong and I believe things will get better for all of us.

If you deal with anxiety feel free to share what you do to manage it.

The Simple Things In Life

Sunday, November 27, 2016

Life isn't just about the finer things. Most of the times it's not the big things in life, that are special. For me I cherish the simple things in life more. I mean it's nice to indulge in a lavish lifestyle, who wouldn't enjoy that. But it's more important to appreciate the little things! Tomorrow is Monday and everyone's favorite day to dislike. Trust I get Mondays are hectic and stressful, but it's important to stay positive throughout the week. I remember hearing someone say, "When you're in a bad mood first thing in the morning that will affect the whole day". Well I didn't believe this, but as I got older it was proven to be true. You're probably thinking what does this have to do with "The Simple Things In Life". But by the end of this you will find out.

Everyone is going through a tough time, whether you know the person or not. Some people need words of encouragement or friend to talk to. That's what I mean about the simple things. It can be a compliment to make someone feel better, about themselves. It can be about their new hairdo or outfit. Show the people who matter to you, that you appreciate them. Trust me that would a lot to them. Knowing you matter to someone else is one of the best feelings you can have. If you have a group of friends to talk to or family, you guys can motivate one another to be and do better. It's the simple things that make people smile and just by you being there is what really matters!

I hope you have a great day tomorrow and remember tomorrow morning is a new day to start fresh!

Sharing The Love! (Twitter Edition)

Saturday, November 26, 2016

When I first started Blogging I had no clue what to do. It was around June of 2012 and I was pretty much a deer in headlights. So I decided to delete it. I was so clueless about how to start a blog and how to get others to read it. I known this seems like a "How I Started My Blog" type of post, but I promise it's not. So that same year in September I created a twitter account and the following month I created a new blog. This time I was a little prepared because, I saw other bloggers and vloggers Sharing their posts or videos. So basically twitter has been my favorite social media to promote my blog/posts.

Back then when I was new there weren't that many helpful hashtags and pages as there are now. Twitter has definitely expanded for the blogging world! So I decided to share with you the ones I have found to be most helpful. I am unaware of every single hashtag out there, I'm just naming the ones I'm familiar with and you might be too. I'm listing Twitter pages that you should check out as well. So basically I'm sharing the love today!

Here's a list of Twitter Pages I listed below that you should definitely check out! If you see a hashtag next to the link, that means they have twitter chats for you to join in. Although most of these are for bloggers, others are for everyone. If you're looking to promote a blog post you can tag these pages and or hashtag. These are here to help you! Be sure to give these pages a follow and if you more information, just click on the links below.

Important Tips For Bloggers

Friday, November 25, 2016

First let me put a disclaimer on this post now! I'm in no way an expert in blogging and after 4 years, I sill have no idea what to do. With that being said these tips I have for you have probably already, been shared before. I'm not the most organized blogger but over this past month that has changed. So these tips I'm going to share have helped me a lot during this month!

Organization
This is the number one tip that important when it comes to blogging. Whether you're a full time, part time or just a hobby blogger there comes a point where you have to find some type of organization. Now I know for some this is just a hobby and you post when you feel like it, I get it I was like that before. But then you have bloggers who do this as a serious hobby. So anyway having a schedule is important when it comes to being an organized blogger. That goes with consistency. Only you know how much you want to post. Whether it's one, two, three or more days a week planning what you want to post is easy and helpful. The if you need some assistance in planning out your time check out these two etsy shops. These shops have you covered! DorkfaceShop & PaperChicCo

Promotion
This is a tricky tip but it's also important! I hope that made sense but I'm serious. Now what I mean by tricky is, I've seen people who feel like spam tweets about blog promoting can be annoying. In my opinion I don't feel like that at all when seeing promotion posts. I use to be nervous about this because I wouldn't want to annoy anyone. But the I thought how else would someone read your blog. This is wear hashtags come into play. These are so helpful when promoting a post or your entire blog. There are so many to count, I can't keep track. But I may dedicate a post to all of the helpful twitter hashtags and pages! For me I like to promote once in the morning, afternoon and evening. But I may do it more frequently throughout the day. It really does make a difference.

Be yourself
I probably write this a lot but it is truly important to be yourself while blogging. Obviously not just for blogging, but hopefully you understand what I mean. With blogging it can be difficult sometimes, to be yourself. We may see another blogger getting comments or likes and we think we should do whatever it is that their doing. No that's not the case at all. Blog about what you like and what makes you happy. There is no right or wrong way to blog.

Twitter Chats
These chats are super fun and most of all, very helpful. You get a chance to meet new people and you learn a lot from one another. I know from experience and so many other bloggers are super supportive.

These tips have helped me and I hope you find them useful!

What I'm Thankful For

Thursday, November 24, 2016

Thanksgiving isn't always about the food, although I enjoy that's not the main purpose. Sometimes the meaning gets lost and people forget. I have a lot of reasons to be thankful and as a quick disclaimer for you, the use of the word thankful will be seen multiple times in this post. I'm thankful to be alive and I'm truly grateful. There are many people that don't get the chance to say that. Even though I have moments where I'm upset or angry or sad, I stop to think about how thankful I am. I am blessed to have a roof over my head and clothes to wear. I'm also thankful I have food to eat. But then I stop to think about the people who don't have these things and it makes me very sad. No one deserves to be homeless and without clothes to wear and food to eat. Just thinking about it now brings tears to my eyes. To be honest even when it's not Thanksgiving, I think about things like this a lot.

Sometimes I feel guilty when I complain about not having something I wanted. I don't really complain anymore because the things I say I want or need isn't as important as someone needing a place to call home. I'm so grateful for my family as a whole, but most importantly my mom and sister! I can always count on them being here for me and I'm so blessed to have them in my life. There are some people that don't have this, so I am grateful for them everyday. Thanksgiving is also a day to reflect on how far you've come or where you want to be. I've grown as a person and I can't wait to see what life has in store for me. There are so many things I'm thankful for but, I'm going to name one more thing. Being a blogger is what I'm also thankful for. Although it's not in real life, I've talk to the most coolest, kind, and awesome people who also blog. Does that make any sense? Blogging has made me a better writer and it also gave me a little confidence, so I'm very thankful for that!

It does not have to be Thanksgiving for someone to be thankful and you don't have to celebrate it to be thankful either! With that being said, what are you thankful for?

Top 3 Netflix Originals To Watch

Wednesday, November 23, 2016

It's safe to say that Netflix is almost better than regular television. I love how there's a variety of movies and shows. Every possible genre you can think of, I love it. When say they binge watch Netflix, believe them it's the truth. It's also very addicting! So here's 3 Netflix Original Series you should be watching.

Stranger Things
This show has become a favorite of mine and a million other people. It came out this past summer as a Netflix original and it quickly became an instant hit. I wasn't sure about this show at first but, after my sister watched all eight episodes in a day I thought I would give it a try. After watching the first episode I could stop. This show grabs your attention very fast and it's very consistent through out. Plus the cliffhangers make you want to know more. So if you haven't watch it yet, I definitely recommend you to. Basically I give you a quick summary! The show takes place in the 1980's, a twelve year old boy goes missing, a girl who was thought to be a boy has powers and everything turns upside down from there.

Between
Between is another Netflix original and I like it. I came out last year and I'm surprised I did not bother to watch it then. Jennette McCurdy is in this show. But it's quite different from her other shows, iCarly and Sam and Cat. Show it's nice to see her playing a serious character! I'm only on the first season but it's getting pretty interesting. Between is about a virus that takes over a small killing the adults living there. While watching the show it turns out that no one 22 and over are safe. So basically it's rest of the town fighting for survival. This a pretty good show I have to admit!

Fuller House
If you loved Full House you should definitely watch this spin off. First I want to say that I loved watching Full House as a kid. The guess because it was mainly about family going to changes whether it was good or bad and still managing to be there for each other and create memories! Well this spin off is really no different. It has a lot of similarities like, Danny the dad after his wife died his brother in law "Uncle" Jessie and their friend Joey came to live with him and help out around the house. In this spinoff DJ's husband recently died and her sister Stephanie and best friend Kimmie decide to live with her. I was sad Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen didn't make an appearance, but I don't know how that would've work anyway. I still love them though! Don't worry the other main characters make an appearance here and there so nothing has changed!

Are you obsessed with Netflix? If you are, feel free to recommend me originals and regular shows!

Looking At Life Differently

Tuesday, November 22, 2016

So many things have happened and it's making me reflect on my life as a person. Although this world is filled with negativity and darkness, but there is a "light at the end of the tunnel". Life is so precious and should not be taken for granted. Instead of looking at the negative things in life, I should start appreciating the positive things more. I want to life to the fullest, enjoying my family and the friends I've made along the way. I guess this is me trying to look at the bigger picture. You know looking outside of the box and being more open minded to the new things. Well I struggle with this so it's going to take me some time to do this. But like I've said before, I'm a work in progress and I for one am not perfect.

I'm afraid of change and that's something I have to get use too. Life is constantly evolving whether I like it or not. So instead of fighting it I'm going to try and embrace it. I'm growing up and it's mind blowing to me, if I'm being honest. I remember being five years old again. Whether I like it or not I'm an adult no matter what. But there isn't really a guide to prepare you. Although you learn at a young age, whether it's at home or school, you don't have the slightest clue once you get out there. We all go through different experiences and challenges but, our hurt and pain are very similar. I'm on a journey of self discovery and it's been quite the experience. I've learned a lot, so I guess that's how being an adults works.

I'm starting to look at life differently because not all of is bad. Looking at life differently means opening up and letting go. Letting go of the negativity that's around and surrounding yourself with positive vibes. I've learned that you can't please everyone and someone will always have something to say. You can't worry about them. You can't change anyone else but yourself. Do what makes you happy and what puts a smile on your face. Whether you want to be a novelist, firefighter, chef, or whatever. Follow your dreams and surround yourself with supportive people! That's one of the most important things. I don't know where I'm going with this but, I feel better.

Life is something that should be cherished and appreciated!

5 Lip Products For Fall!

Monday, November 21, 2016
I don't follow trends and if I do I'm the last one to jump on. But the dark lip trend is very popular so I thought it would be cool to share my favorite dark lip products for the season. But of course you don't have to wear a dark lip to get into the fall season. As I was swatching these colors I realized how similar they looked. I'm not sure if I would call them dupes, because you can tell the difference. I also got a lip pencil from Nicka K New York. I brought the lip pencil the same time I brought the lipshine from Nicka K. But it seemed to fit the fall lip trend.

The lip products I brought are from two different brands. The first brand is  Absolute New York, I've never heard of this brand before I purchased the Velvet Lippie products. The colors are Vampette and Wicked. As you can see in my lip swatch, these two colors are very similar to the ones from NYX Cosmetics. Both Velvet lip products do not dry but I still love them. I got these at a beauty supply store, I'm quite sure about the price. Now on the absolute New York site it's $5.99 but, I feel like it was less at the store. For the Wicked lippie, I had to reapply to get a darker look. But it could show up differently for you. Both Vampette and Wicked are next to each other in color (AVI 22 & 23).

The second brand is NYX Cosmetics. These colors are She Devil and Copenhagen! I brought Copenhagen because of Pinterest, yes I know I'm crazy. It was much cheaper on Amazon, I brought for under $4! This is my favorite one; I've been using this for months now. Copenhagen is a soft matte lip cream, therefore it dries. I actually like fact that it's matte, because it does not come off. But I do have to reapply it after a while. Now the "Simply Vamp" in She Devil is really pretty. I didn't think it would look right on me, but it suits me pretty well! This one is matte and it does come off but, not as much as I thought it would. I like the dark vampy look, it's gorgeous. Unlike the Copenhagen, I brought She Devil directly from NYX Cosmetics site. I believe the price was $5. Of course you can purchase both from their site, but I think it was sold out when I wanted to get it.

Last but not least my lip pencil from Nicka K (NK) comes in dark purple. I use this pencil to line my lips before applying She Devil and Wicked. It's very pigmented which is a plus from me.

If you want to know more about these lip products, I will leave the links down below!

Revlon Lipsticks

Sunday, November 20, 2016
I'm just starting to get into wearing lipsticks. In the past I didn't really care for and to be honest I'm still a little hesitant about certain ones. I guess it really just depends on the colors. Most of the time I'm picky when it comes to makeup. I like darker colors burgundy reds and purples, but I've been trying out colors that are not in my comfort zone. I don't know about you but I like using my mom's lotions, fragrance sprays and other beauty products. Sometimes when it comes to lip products, we're night and day. She's leans more towards light colors and I go straight to the bold dark colors, most of the time. So when I saw the colors I was a little hesitant about it, but I tried and I actually liked it. My mom brought these two Revlon lipsticks from Walmart.

While wearing different lipsticks, lip glosses and even eye shadows I've realized that they will probably show up differently on people. Both Ipanema Beach & Luminous Pink show up lighter then I expected. Without me applying them, they look a little darker, so this was a surprise to me. I actually like it. Neither color is overpowering; they give off a soft and sweet look! Luminous Pink is a darker shade then Ipanema Beach. The first one is comes in the shade 631 and the other 210. My lip swatch doesn't really show you the exact difference, but you can see it on my hand swatch. These colors apply very easily on my lips and they both have a sparkle to it, that's really pretty. I'm really not sure of the price my mom brought it for, I believe the price might have been around $6. If you don't want to go to Walmart, the lipsticks can be found at Target or any other drug store!

What I'm Doing On A Saturday!

Saturday, November 19, 2016

If you're like me you don't mind staying in, on a Saturday! But if you do go out I hope you have fun for the both of us (wink). No seriously staying home is not boring, I actually find it fun and more entertaining. For one I don't have to get all dolled up I'm quite comfortable in my sweatpants. I also don't have to worry about making plans or having to cancel them. Having fun on a Saturday night is simple and easy, especially when you're at home.

Call me boring if you choose, but I'm a homebody! So as of now whatever your reading is happening now. I love watching movies on a Saturday, I mean the mood is calm and relaxing. Right now I'm watching Pearl Harbor, a 2001 film starring Ben Affleck and Josh Hartnett. I don't usually watch movies like this often, but its pretty good. Basically it's a war movie mixed with a love story. This movie is 3 hours and 3 minutes, I've only been watching for an hour and a half. Sometimes I have a hard time sitting still, but I've done pretty ok so far! Soon I'm going to start fixing dinner, I'm not sure what that will be though. Maybe pasta, I mean you can't go wrong with that!

Besides watching Pearl Harbor I'm writing this post, obviously Ashley they already know that. I've been doing really good with blogging consistently for this month. So I'm also working on my blog, I have the rest of November almost finished. I'm really excited for Blogmas since I've never tried it before. I stopped watch the movie to fix dinner and it will resume once I finish eating. I like to multitask in case you're wondering how I'm doing all of these things at the same time!

Well this is how my Saturday is going so far. I know all of you are in different parts of the country or world, so the times are not the same. With daylight savings it gets darker a lot faster, not really a fan of this but what can I do. So I finished eating my dinner. If you're wondering what I had, it was a baked potato and some ground turkey with peppers & onions in it. So I'm currently finishing Pearl Harbor. This movie is very powerful and sad too. Don't worry no spoiler alerts from me.

But anyway this was probably boring to you but I thought I would just share. I hope you're having a great weekend so far. What are you doing right now or what are your plans for later?

Nowadays it's hard to find a lipstick or lip gloss that is affordable. But I can understand why, because some people think more expensive equals higher quality. Although that may be the case, it's not always true. Surprisingly there are more affordable ones that are still made of good quality. Lip Shine by Nicka K (NK) is a brand I never knew existed. But while at the beauty supply store I saw the brand. I'm starting to be open minded, when it comes to trying out beauty products. These lip glosses were on $2 so I brought 5 of them. The glosses are not matte, so they do not dry. But I love how they stay shiny, so I can deal with that. These glosses are very creamy and pigmented, so I only have to apply 1 to 2 times.

A75 Sheen
Sheen is one of my favorite colors! I know it's a clear lip gloss, but you can never go wrong there. My lips are glossy and it stays that way for awhile. I don't feel sticky with it on and there's no greasy feeling either.

A80 Matrix
Matrix is my second favorites. I have mentioned this one is my "current beauty favorites post". Here's the link for that: Top 5 Current Beauty Favorites. When applied to my lips it looks like a nude/mauve color. I am actually surprised I like this one. It wasn't in my comfort zone but, it's not extreme. So I really like it a lot it almost blends in with my lips.

A84 Bossanova
Although its like a purple color it's lighter. I lean more towards dark purples but, surprisingly it's not bad at all. Besides this is way out of my comfort zone more than the color matrix but, I'm glad I brought because it's a pretty color.

A85 Woody Brown
I almost like it more than matrix. So this may be my new second favorite, we'll see! It's like a chocolate color and it's so gorgeous.

A87 Payne's Gray
I honestly didn't think I would like this one at all, because of the color. Even though it's gray, it looks like purple is mixed in as well maybe that's why I like it. I didn't expect this gloss to be a gorgeous but I was wrong.

Overall I love these glosses and I will definitely be buying more of them. Like I've said before these are very affordable at $2 each, especially if you're on a budget. I hope you enjoyed reading and if you want to check out their site and the direct page to the Lip Shine glosses click the links below!

Thursday Thoughts

Thursday, November 17, 2016

I'm not an expert on happiness or how to live a stress free life. But I can only pass on words of wisdom and encouragement. When you're at your lowest don't think for once, that's it. Things will get better, you just have to believe in yourself when no one else will. You're probably saying, why is she talking about this. My answer would be, because sometimes there is someone in the world that needs motivation. Sometimes people need a friend or shoulder to cry on. That's why it is good to have family and friends that love and support you! It's good to be around positive energy. There are so many times we doubt ourselves and the good things we can accomplish. I said we because I feel the same way sometimes. If you're not feeling down but you know someone who is, be there for them. Listen to them and the things they tell you. You never know, you just might be their light in this darkness.

I think as I get older I'm becoming more wiser. I'm only twenty four but I've learned a lot about life so far and I am starting to see things differently. Besides Friday is almost here and for some it might be here already. The weekend should be relaxing and I hope you find some time to enjoy. This year is starting to go by so fast. So live life to the fullest and enjoy it with the people who love and care for you, just as much as you do for them! Life is too short for negativity, trust me. Just to let you know I'm not trying to tell you how to live your life, you're in control of it. I just simply want to let you know that, you're not alone despite how you may feel. There is someone going through the same thing, whether they live in another country, on the opposite side of the country, in the same state, town, or neighborhood.

If your Thursday did not go as planned, tomorrow is a new day and a new chance to do things right. If life is overwhelming just take some deep breaths. I understand how stressful life can get, there isn't really a specific way to be stress free but you find something that helps you relax! I hope you found this helpful. If you want to share how you're feeling let me know!

Jessica Simpson "I Fancy You" Perfume

Wednesday, November 16, 2016

I love wearing perfume and every time I spray it on, I feel like I'm in a commercial. I actually feel grown up. As a kid when you watch your mom spray on perfume or put on lipstick, you automatically want to try it. Maybe it was just me; I was always nosy as a kid! You're now probably thinking she's weird. But seriously I've been a fan of perfumes for a long time. When it comes to different scents, I'm very picky. Most scents are too strong and not appealing at all. So when going shopping I love try them on, to see what I like and don't like.

Although I'm a fan of perfume, I'm also a fan of Jessica Simpson. So when I got the chance to try her perfume "I Fancy You" from  Notino I was really excited! First off I really like the design of the box and the bottle itself. Sometimes perfume designs are dramatic and it either takes away from the scent itself or it makes you think the scent is something worth getting. I'm glad that wasn't the case with this one. You don't need to spray a lot of it, a little goes along way. The perfume stays on for while, so if you are going to a special event or occasion this perfume is perfect! This is another thing that impressed me.

Here's my favorite part which is the obvious, the actual scent. The scent is composed of: Apple, Pear, Lily, White Musk, Tuberose, and Sandalwood. In my opinion the Apple and the Pear scents really stand out to me. Now when first applied it's a little strong but not overpowering. After a few seconds it starts to settle. I love how the smell of this perfume is calming. If that makes any sense, I feel relaxed. The show size of this perfume is 3.4 oz. but there are different sizes to choose from

Beauty Hacks You Should Follow!

Tuesday, November 15, 2016

Beauty hacks come in handy, it's like a two for one deal. You learn something new and you save money. It seems like everything is expensive these days, but with beauty hacks you can use what you have at home. I've been using these hacks for a long and they are super helpful. If you don't have these things on hand don't worry, buying them at the store is affordable!

Vaseline
Use Vaseline to keep your eyebrows in place. Trust me this really works. This may sound weird but it's very convenient, I mean who doesn't have Vaseline on hand! For a softer heel put Vaseline on and then your sock on before bedtime. You can also do this the same day you're going out, just make sure it's a few hours before.

Olive Oil
Use olive oil if you ran out of makeup remover (wipes). Olive oil is a natural ingredient and it's soft on the skin. If by chance you do not own Vaseline, olive oil is a great may to make sure you feet and heel are moisturized.

Q-Tips
Use a q-tip for hard to reach areas, if you mess up on your makeup. For example, if you messed up on your winged eyeliner put some olive oil or whatever liquid remover you have and wipe it away.

Lemon
If your underarm is darker use lemon to lighten it. You can either use slices of the lemon or make a lemon body scrub.

Exfoliate/Scrub
Sometimes buying a lip exfoliate can be expensive, so making one would be a great idea! Here's a DIY I made a while back DIY Exfoliator.

I hope you enjoyed these beauty hacks and if you have any to share let me know!

The Blogger Who Feels Lost

Monday, November 14, 2016
During my four years of blogging, I've experienced a lot of ups and downs. Although I'm not a newbie I still feel like I am. I feel as if I haven't evolved, but that's nonsense because I do see growth from where I started. I don't know where I fit in as a blogger. My pictures are not perfect but compared to where I was before, I definitely upgraded in my picture taking. Even though I said I would not give up, it's hard. No one really understands what it's like to be a blogger unless, you've been there or you're still doing it. There is so much work that goes into it like taking pictures and writing great content. But being able to grab readers attention is quite tough. I know there's hundreds of bloggers, but sometimes I feel unnoticed. I don't want this to feel like a pity party by no means. I just think about these things at night time. I am my own worst critic and I don't give myself enough credit. I wouldn't say that I've compared my blog to someone else's but, I do get discouraged.

Sometimes I feel as if my blog is not good enough for others to read. Everyone is different and that's something I need to learn. This year has truly been an eye opener for me and a reevaluation of what I want my blog to be. I have so many things to talk about but the struggle is knowing how to say it. I've often wondered if anyone else feels the same way as I do. I will admit that my confidence has gotten a lot better because of blogging, so that means a lot to me. If I ever stopped being a blogger, I want to know that I made a difference. One thing I look forward to on social media are the blogger chats. They are so helpful and very positive. I think that's the only reason I keep blogging. I learn a lot and I've become a better blogger, because of it.

I know most of this post was a little negative but expressing myself made me feel so much better. If you're ever feeling lost and don't know what direction you want to follow, take a step back. I don't mean a break from blogging unless you need to. What I mean is look how far you've come and the growth you've experienced. I will also take this advice and use it for myself. Bloggers are different from one another, that's what makes us unique. I couldn't imagine not blogging, but there are times where I question this. We'll see where I'm at months from now!

I hope you enjoyed reading! If you have any advice or feel the same, let me know.

Motivation For The Week Ahead!

Sunday, November 13, 2016

For me a new week equals a fresh start and I believe we all should feel like this. In the past I did not understand why people would say this, but I get it now. Don't dwell on the week before especially if it wasn't a good one. I feel like the negativity should be left in the past. Sometimes the negative vibes, whether it's the people around you or the environment can cause unnecessary stress. Remove yourself from this and you will feel a lot better trust me! I'm not a morning person but I find that waking up a few minutes early helps. I can feel the eye rolls I'm getting. But seriously if you take those few minutes to adjust and to take some deep breaths, you might feel better.

Monday's are the most toughest days, because everyone's starting to get back to normal from the weekend. It also seems like one of the longest. I remember when I was in high school the mood I was in, always showed on my face. But now that I'm older I look at as a re do. I get to fix what was broken the week before and try to make the best of the day or week. Life is all about learning and adjusting to changes. This can be very hard to do, I suggest making daily or weekly goals. I like doing this because I stay organized and my mind won't go one hundred miles per hour. Take this new week as an opportunity to start all over. I know I keep telling you but it's truly important.

You can get through the week and even if you fall down, it's ok pick yourself back up and try again. It better to keep trying than and not give up. Everyone goes through obstacles, just keep striving to follow your dreams and work hard. I know it's easier said than done, but hard work really does pay off. I've learned that things do not happen overnight and if you're the lucky ones than old on to it! After a few bumps in the road over the past few years I am really motivated. Mondays don't intimidate me as much anymore, because I know it a new day to prove myself. Prove to the people you doubted you that you're strong and you made it.

I hope you enjoyed reading and if you have ways you like to stay motivated let me know!

8 Hair Tips To Follow

Saturday, November 12, 2016
I have a love/hate relationship with my hair. Sometimes it won't cooperate with me and I'm so over it, after a well. But I'm starting to realize what my hair wants and does not want, or what it needs. So I decided to share these tips with you and hopefully they will help you! Even thought I have curly hair, these tips just doesn't apply to only "curly haired girls". It applies to straight hair or wavy, thin or thick hair, and fine or coarse hair.

Stop using heat
Heat is one of the top reasons for unhealthy hair. From experience it fries the ends of your end and it becomes brittle. If you don't want to stop using heat, at least decrease the amount you put on your hair. Also I would recommend using a heat protectant spray, I know a lot of people don't bother using it but it's really important.

Stop using Sulfate hair products
Sulfate products are damaging to your hair. For example, it strips away the natural oils from the hair. Besides sulfate is used in laundry detergent, so it doesn't belong on your hair. In my opinion my hair feels like crap when I used sulfate products in the past. I honestly didn't know the damage I was doing to my hair. My hair would not Detangle easy and it would feel sticky and dry.

Drink more water
Water is important for so many reasons and one of them is for healthy hair. Drinking water helps your hair become hydrated and shiny. Also when washing your hair make sure the water isn't too hot or too cold. Hot water can cause split ends and although cold water seals in the water it may not work for everyone.

Detangle
Detangle your hair before washing because, it causes less fall out when you comb your hair in the shower. Another important tip about detangling is using a wide tooth comb. This causes less stress to the hair, therefore your hair won't break or come out. The last tip is to start from ends to detangle. Combing from the roots will damage your hair and that's not good. Your roots are the newest part of your hair so take care of it.

Deep conditioning is your friend
Deep condition your hair for moisture and to treat hair that may be damaged. You will see improvement if you're consistent with use.

Use a Satin pillow or headscarf
It doesn't matter which one you use as long as you fit one into your night routine. Satin is soft and it won't pull or break off your hair.

Oil the ends of your hair
Oiling the ends is vital and this tip must not be forgotten. The ends are the oldest part of your hair and if not cared for properly, it could cause the new hair to break. If these two parts of the hair meets that can cause split ends as well.

Keep your hair moisturized
Keeping your hair moisturized is extremely important. Just like we need water for the outside and inside of the body, your hair is the same way with moisture. If you don't use this tip your hair will be very sad! It will become dry and brittle and who wants that.

I hope you enjoyed reading and if you use these tips let me know!
